CIS Accreditation

Shrewsbury International School was delighted to announce they have gained full International Accreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS) earlier this week following a rigorous school-wide evaluative process.

CIS International Accreditation measures alignment with internationally benchmarked standards and provides guidance for continuous improvement. Through their achievement of these standards, CIS-Accredited schools have been verified as delivering high-quality international education focused on the development of knowledge, skills and attributes necessary to prepare students as global citizens.

The visiting team were keen to highlight educational leadership, the constitution of Governance, the collation and utilisation of student views, our approach to safeguarding and child protection, the management of health and safety and standards of communication as worthy of particular recognition, within a report containing a total of twenty-eight distinct points of commendation.” Ben Keeling, Principal.

Accreditation follows an eighteen month period of self-study and the undertaking of a forensic review by a team of six over a full school week. It is recognised by ministries, departments of education, and universities worldwide, demonstrating a school’s commitment to high-quality international education and is a mark of quality-assurance.
