Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a Shrewsbury family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of Giselle's Family - this is their story:

“We joined Shrewsbury in August 2020 having conducted extensive research into the international school sector here in Hong Kong. While the breathtaking facilities initially caught our eye, it was the warmth and care we experienced during the journey of enrolment that persuaded us that this would be the right school for our daughter.”

“Giselle joined her Nursery class as a full-day student and the opportunities extended to students far exceeded anything available elsewhere. Swimming classes, gymnastics lessons, music theory sessions, she had full access to just about every facility on campus immediately. She has grown in confidence and broadened her interests - we couldn’t be happier.”

“Due to the regional suspension of classes, Giselle has spent a significant amount of time learning online over the past few years. The fact that students were engaged in smaller groups allowed them to feel connected and engaged. Giselle looked forward to lessons and often took the initiative to gather materials for the following day. While we all prefer learning on campus, we feel as though we were very well looked after during periods spent learning from home.”

“We spend most of our spare time together as a family and are fortunate to have grandparents close by. We live in close proximity to the school and enjoy good access to Hong Kong Island, but also enjoy spending time hiking and playing outside.”
