A Shrewsbury Story: Isabelle's Family
Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a Shrewsbury family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of Isabelle’s family - this is their story:
"Isabelle was wearing her new school uniform at home for a number of weeks before she started and we know that she had high expectations of everything to come. She finally started as a half-day student in August and hasn’t looked back.”
“We enrolled approximately a year prior to our daughter’s start date and have benefited enormously from the ability to make this early decision. Although our experience was somewhat interrupted (by Covid related restrictions), we felt part of the community very early on. We had access to reading materials, received regular school newsletters and gained priority entry to the aquatics programme. As a result, our first day at school felt like a natural progression of a well-established relationship. Isabelle was not at all daunted.
“The outstanding reputation of the school in Bangkok and the responsiveness of the team here in Hong Kong persuaded us that Shrewbury was the best option for our family - we have been both thrilled and delighted with the range of engagements she enjoys. Choral, Music, Physical Education and Chinese language classes certainly help to keep her well engaged. And we have so much more to look forward to this year.”
“We spend most of our time enjoying the various beaches of Hong Kong and now that Isabelle has more confidence in the water, we swim regularly. We look forward to extending her hours at school and nurturing her desire and determination in the months ahead.”
