A Shrewsbury Story: Moona and Trion’s Family

Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a Shrewsbury family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of Moona and Trion’s family - this is their story:

“Shrewsbury was recommended to us by friends. In a city where the through-train model is common, we were intrigued by what a school solely dedicated to younger learners might offer. Our interactions with staff and other members of the community positioned it at the very top of our shortlist and we secured a place for August 2021, following a move to Tseung Kwan O from Lai Chi Kok.”

“Now alert to the fact that even the very youngest students benefited from interactions with specialist staff, our youngest joined just 12 months later. Moona came into a Nursery class from a much smaller kindergarten setting. She was a shy and reserved little girl, but just a few weeks into life at Shrewsbury, she was singing and dancing on the Auditorium stage as part of a winter celebration performance. Shrewsbury students gain so much from the exposure they enjoy.”

“Parents are always made to feel welcome at Shrewsbury and there are lots of ways in which they can get involved if they have the time. There are lots of events to attend and we are now part of a group available to others who might be considering Shrewsbury for their child.”

“We really enjoy life in Hong Kong and have chosen to share all of its many wonders with our children. Holidays and weekends are almost always spent in the region - Trion didn’t board a plane until he was seven!”
