A Shrewsbury Story: Andrew, Alicia and Avery’s Family

Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a Shrewsbury family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of Andrew, Alicia and Avery’s family - this is their story:

“Given our own educational and professional experience in the UK, we were initially attracted by Shrewsbury’s long and rich history. Following a school tour in February 2019, Andrew, Alicia and Avery joined later that year. Shrewsbury offers a caring and encouraging environment that values every child in their own unique way.”

“Like many parents in Hong Kong, we were feeling a little anxious about finding the right school for our children. Ours are all very different. As members of the Shrewsbury community, they have grown more confident, respectful and happy.”

“Shrewsbury offers daily Chinese classes in Mandarin and weekly swimming lessons. Our children particularly enjoy their time in the pool, as well as the gymnastics centre and the auditorium.”

“The journey into Year 7 is the next important junction for our children. We were initially overwhelmed by the options available, but we have been exceptionally well guided by the information available at Shrewsbury and feel as though we are in good hands.”

“We particularly enjoy the food and the convenience of cosmopolitan Hong Kong. We also love to explore the varied landscape.”
