A Shrewsbury Story: Charlotte’s Family

Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a Shrewsbury family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of Charlotte’s family - this is their story:

“Already aware of the fine reputation of Shrewsbury in Bangkok from our time living there, we first engaged with the Shrewsbury team at an International School Fair in 2017, when Charlotte was just 2 years old. A preference for a structured British programme of study and the care extended by Ben (Shrewsbury Principal) and his team convinced us that we had found our school.”

“The facilities at Shrewsbury are first class. From the temperature controlled swimming pools and gymnastics facilities to the music rooms and indoor sports hall, everything a young child could wish for is available, all on one campus. The tiering of daily Chinese language classes is another distinct advantage.”

“Charlotte loves school. She has shared such positive relationships with her teachers over the years and has taken up prominent roles among the Student Leadership Team.”

“I (mummy) have been a Class Representative for five years and a committee member of the Shrewsbury Parents Association for three. We have seen the school community grow and the parent body become increasingly involved in the life of our children on campus. We’re often here for events and activities and have developed a broad range of positive relationships as a result of our engagement.”

“We love the diverse nature of Hong Kong and enjoy the city skyline as much as the lush green landscapes and sea views. We regularly attend cultural festivals, musical theatre performances and art fairs, as well as boat trips with friends.”
