A Shrewsbury Story: Nairn and Lila’s Family
Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a Shrewsbury family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of Nairn and Lila’s family - this is their story:
"We joined Shrewsbury in August this year. On our visit, there was a real sense of community and ethos of contribution across the school. The teaching staff were welcoming, the facilities outstanding and the admissions process very consultative to the needs of our family. Our daughter accompanied us on our visit and, making the final decision, she felt most welcomed and excited by her visit to Shrewsbury."
"We visited a few international schools in Hong Kong before settling on Shrewsbury and were very taken with its decision to focus on early years and primary learning. With a structured consultation programme in place and having just relocated, we were keen to take the time to settle in and review our options before committing to a school that may not suit the needs or the character of our children at that stage in their life."
"Everyone within the parent and teacher community has been incredibly welcoming to our family so far. The quality of communication from the school has provided us with great confidence in the children settling."
"When compared to Scotland, the weather here is great, if a little humid, and we have thoroughly enjoyed being able to spend time as a family outdoors. We are discovering new spots each weekend and looking forward to the arrival of the cooler months."
