Forever a Salopian
Keen to ensure that the Class of 2024 had settled well, Shrewsbury Principal, Ben Keeling, wrote to families earlier this term to check in, learn more about their successes and remind them they would be forever welcome at Shrewsbury.
‘Just over four months since their graduation, it is important that former students and their parents know that we are still thinking of them and willing them on. Contact signals an ongoing connection and commitment - it precedes the annual gathering of alumni for what is always an emotional evening.’

A second gathering of Shrewsbury alumni saw the return of almost one hundred students now studying at schools across and beyond the region between Year 7 and 11. Reconnection rekindled many fond memories, with conversation now settling upon elective study options and university aspiration.
‘Our daughter is thriving at Harrow but undeniably misses everyone and everything at Shrewsbury. She has bumped into several Old Salopians and made lots of new friends too.’

‘Thank you for your lovely message and kind wishes. I hope you are well. I really enjoy studying at Chinese International School. I have settled well and made many friends. I have also joined the school swimming team, along with the orchestra as a clarinetist.’
